From Me to We offers a safe space for
transgender, Two-Spirit, non-binary and gender
non-conforming teens to build knowledge,
skills, confidence, and social connection.
“It’s incredible to see how
the program impacts
teens. Initially they might
be reserved, or on their
phones, or bring along a
parent to support them.
But as sessions progress,
we see them form group
chats and come into the
space with linked arms …
Ultimately, we want all
queer and gender-diverse
youth to thrive and that
spirit continues to motivate
our work.”
New Course: Youth Mental
Health
We’re deepening our focus on youth mental
health and creating tools to support the
people who walk alongside youth every day.
We recently launched Who Cares? An AntiRacist Anti-Oppressive Guide to Supporting
Youth Mental Health, a free online training
course designed for anyone working with
youth. It shares practical tools, real stories,
and approaches that build protective factors
and foster mental wellness, with a focus
on those navigating intersecting forms of
discrimination.
