DEAR FRIENDS AND
SUPPORTERS,
It’s a critical moment in this movement.
As Canada faces a complex landscape of trade,
political, economic, and social challenges, one
truth stands unshakeable: gender equality is
the bedrock of a stronger, more resilient future.
The evidence is compelling—closing gender
gaps in the workforce alone could inject
billions of dollars into Canada’s GDP. When
we prioritize gender equality as a national
imperative, we don’t just empower half
the population—we build a more inclusive,
peaceful, happy, prosperous and enduring
Canada that benefits everyone.
Gender equality is one of Canada’s core values:
Over 80 per cent of people in this country
support it.
Together, we can unlock its power. Each one
of you — our incredible community of more
than 100,000 changemakers and counting — is
critical to this effort.
Why are these facts important? Because we
are not yet where we need to be. Every 48
hours a woman or girl is killed in Canada.
Sexual violence is the only violent crime that is
on the rise, despite being under reported.
This year’s annual report spotlights how you’ve
supported hundreds of programs throughout
the country that address critical barriers to the
equality of women, girls, and gender-diverse
people. Your generosity impacts thousands of
lives from coast to coast to coast.

You fuel the mission and vision set out in our
strategic plan. You enable us to advocate at the
national level, especially in this moment when
our voices matter now to create the shift we
need in society. Thank you for being part of
this movement.
And, together with you, we will continue to
make the case that gender justice is more than
“just a women’s issue”. It’s a source of untapped
national strength.
The momentum is real. The opportunity is vast.
And the time is now.
In solidarity,
You support survivors of gender-based violence
to find safety and rebuild their lives.
You jumpstart journeys toward brighter
financial futures.
You give girls and gender-diverse young people
safer spaces to build confidence, resilience, and
learn healthy relationship skills — all critical to
good mental health.
