Board Member Nancy Lascelles hosted an
evening of generosity at Toronto’s Verity Club
with the second edition of the When She’s
Safe event. Through passionate speeches and
networking, attendees learned more about our
work supporting women, girls, and gender-diverse
people and how they could get involved. The
event raised $17,000 towards our work advancing
gender equality.
Over 150 philanthropic leaders
gathered at the end of February
for a virtual discussion on how
advancing gender equality can
be seen as nation-building —
developing and strengthening
the culture, economy, and
infrastructure of Canada. Organized by The Houssian Foundation and Catalyst Philanthropy,
the conversation led way to a practical summary of key insights and actions that can be used by
decision-makers in their work across sectors.
